Yurra Building is proud to celebrate two significant achievements at the 2026 Master Builders of WA Building Excellence Awards, recognising both outstanding industry leadership and excellence in regional project delivery.
Timothy Clune, General Manager – Building, was awarded the 2026 Master Builders of WA Young Builder of the Year, recognising his leadership, industry contribution and commitment to developing the next generation of Western Australian construction professionals.
As General Manager and Registered Building Supervisor at Yurra Building, Tim leads a workforce of more than 200 employees and has spent over 15 years mentoring and supporting emerging tradespeople.
Throughout his career, Tim has been a strong advocate for creating meaningful training and employment pathways for apprentices, trainees and Indigenous Peoples across regional Western Australia. His contribution extends beyond Yurra Building, with a focus on strengthening local industry capability and creating opportunities for local people to build sustainable careers close to home.
Tim has also played an instrumental role in improving access to regional training, including supporting the delivery of building qualifications in Karratha and Port Hedland and helping trainees from Roebourne progress into apprenticeships and long-term trade careers.
His recognition as Young Builder of the Year reflects not only his technical expertise and leadership within Yurra Building, but also his ongoing commitment to developing people and strengthening the construction workforce across the Pilbara.
The Yurra Building team was also awarded Winner - Educational Facility $5–10 Million for the Pannawonica Childcare Centre, recognising the quality, coordination and capability demonstrated in delivering this important regional project.
Yurra Building was responsible for the design and construction of the large early childhood centre on a greenfield site in Pannawonica, coordinating a range of Yurra Building service lines throughout delivery.
The project demonstrates the strength of Yurra Building’s integrated delivery capability and the expertise of its teams in successfully delivering complex construction projects in regional and remote Western Australia.
The award is a significant achievement for everyone involved and recognises the commitment of the Yurra Building team, subcontractors, suppliers and project partners who contributed to the successful delivery of the centre.
Together, the two awards are a proud milestone for Yurra Building and reflect the strength of our people, the quality of our work and our continued commitment to creating opportunities and building communities across regional Western Australia.
