Yurra offers a range of apprenticeship and traineeship streams in locations across Western Australia.
As an apprentice carpenter you will be trained to acquire a range of skills including full construction, formwork, roofing, flooring, concreting, windows, and doors installation and more; using cutting-edge techniques and state-of-the-art tools and equipment.
As an apprentice electrician you will be trained to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in buildings and premises across residential and commercial projects. It includes requirements for an Electrician’s License.
As an apprentice plumber you will be trained in installation, alteration and repair of pipe work services and appliances to suit domestic, commercial, and industrial needs, gas supply, sewerage, waste, and rainwater disposal, how to make buildings waterproof and installation and repair of gutters and drainpipes.
As part of this qualification, you will not only learn how to operate a skis steer, excavator, and front-end loader; you will also gain knowledge and skills in how to plan and organise specific projects, rad and interpret plans, work at heights, and how to prepare, excavate, maintain, and dispose of material on civil construction sites.
As part of this qualification, you will learn skills as a painter or decorator for residential, commercial, and industrial construction and maintenance projects, including to prepare and protect surfaces, colour matching, interpret plans and applying work health and safety requirements.
As part of this qualification, you can work across both our landscaping and facilities maintenance divisions. You will learn about effective pruning, identifying various plans and improving soi; conditions, reticulation, and working safely with chemicals. It includes requirements for Pest Management Technician licensing.
As part of this qualification, you will learn by measuring and mapping land, determining boundaries, and providing essential data to guide engineers, architects, planners, and government authorities. Their work includes field measurements, research, mapping, reporting, and legal documentation - ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient construction and land use across diverse environments.
As part of this qualification, you will learn skills in overseeing services and employee relations, management of the end-to-end recruitment process, understanding of how to implement performance management processes, workforce planning and helping to foster a positive and productive workplace.
Progressing into a supervisory or leadership position this qualification this course will enable you with effective communication strategies, operational planning, problem solving, digital technologies, how to effectively lead a team, and demonstrating leadership in the workplace.
This qualification provides competencies enabling administrators to smoothly operate in office-based role including record keeping, communication, planning & scheduling of work, problem solving, basic financial transactions and the importance of business sustainability.
