Established in 2013, Yurra is the result of a pioneering partnership between the Yindjibarndi People and ALM Landscaping, a respected construction business founded in Port Hedland in 2010. This collaboration was built on a shared vision: to deliver sustainable procurement outcomes that empower local communities.
Yurra was created with a strong commitment to generating employment and training opportunities for the people of Roebourne and to fostering lasting business, social and economic benefits throughout the region - unifying efforts under a single, community-focused enterprise.
Today, Yurra is majority owned by the Yindjibarndi People through Yindjibarndi Wealth Pty Ltd, an investment entity established on their behalf following the landmark Land Use Agreement with Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) in July 2013. The remaining ownership is held by Right Foot Forward Pty Ltd, led by Liam Wilson, one of Yurra’s founding directors and current Group Managing Director.
