Mike Hollett is one of the founding directors and current Chairman of Yurra. Mike Hollett brings nearly 40 years of leadership experience across water management, property development, and Indigenous engagement.
A Hydrographer by profession, he has held senior roles in both public and private sectors, including Chair of the WA Water Corporation and Pilbara Development Commission, and CEO of National Lifestyle Villages. He is a co-founder of The Right Water Company and Director of Kimberley Marine Support Base. A GAICD graduate, Michael is known for his commercial acumen and commitment to regional and Aboriginal communities, supporting Yurra’s mission to deliver meaningful economic, social, and cultural outcomes through sustainable enterprise.
Brendan Charlton is a proud Yindjibarndi man with over 20 years’ experience in construction, operations, and leadership within the oil and gas and mining industries.
Since joining Yurra in 2022 and in his role of Chair of the People & Safety Committee, Brendan has supported the company’s growth with strong commitments to HSEQ, the safety and wellbeing of our people, and promoting diversity. Brendan is passionate about strengthening Yurra’s positive impact on the Yindjibarndi community and culture.
Henry Thong is an accomplished finance and governance professional with over 25 years of experience across both public and private sectors.
Henry Thong joined the Yurra Board in 2023 as an Independent Director and serves as Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee. With over 30 years’ experience in financial management and governance across both public and private sectors, Henry brings deep expertise to Yurra’s strategic and operational oversight. He has held senior executive roles, including CFO and Company Secretary for major utilities and ASX-listed companies. A qualified FCPA, MBA, and GAICD, Henry is passionate about supporting Yurra’s growth and maturity, believing strongly in its potential to become the commercial partner of choice in the Pilbara and beyond.
Anthony Kinder is an experienced business leader with a strong background in financial management, governance, and strategic advisory. He has held senior roles across various sectors, including construction, property development, and not-for-profit organisations.
Anthony previously served as Chair of GBSC Yurra since 2023, (now known as Yurra Building) and his expertise supports Yurra’s mission to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes while fostering community and cultural development. Anthony has been a CPA for over 30 years, is aGraduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), and holds a Bachelor of Business in Finance.
With a strong entrepreneurial and community-focused spirit, Liam Wilson has been instrumental in building and expanding Yurra's partnerships, supporting the team to achieve their goals.
Liam Wilson has been the Managing Director & CEO since 2013 and is a co-founder of Yurra Group.
With a background in strategic development and operational excellence, Liam is committed to driving positive outcomes for clients, communities, and all Yurra people through innovative solutions, a values-led approach and a strong focus on sustainable growth and Indigenous empowerment. Liam holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Queensland University of Technology and GAICD.
